Languages Brought to Life
Some of our Year 7 Spanish students at Harris Academy Beckenham are taking part in an exciting Spanish and English language exchange project this year between Harris Academy Beckenham and a school in Barcelona, Spain.
Within the project, students have been matched with a pen-friend with whom they will exchange cultural experiences and assist one another with their language skills.
They have already written letters describing themselves and given details about themselves to send to their pen-pal’s friends. We are looking forward to receiving responses from their friends soon. They will be exchanging several different types of correspondences, for example Christmas cards and handmade gifts.
Our students are very enthusiastic about this opportunity to make lasting friendships with students from Spain and are anxious now to find out more about their new friends!
