Open Evening Success Opens Up Wonders for Year 6 Students
Open Evening is THE HABE event of the year! We always look forward to welcoming all our prospective Year 6 students to showcase our fantastic Academy.
This year was no exception where we welcomed over 3,500 people through our doors! Our own students made fantastic ambassadors for our parents escorting them around the Academy and answering all their varied questions.
There were interactive activities in all our departments. Students could measure their own voices in soundwaves, score goals, beat the clock in mathematical puzzles, sample freshly baked pizza, and even able to have a go at identifying poo from different ages!
We even had the ever-popular MFL Café, which this year also offered Chinese food!
The parental and student feedback was overwhelmingly positive and there was an amazing vibe around the Academy. There were many comments on how the Academy just feels like such an exciting and enriching place to be, and how it just feels ‘different’ (in the best sense!) to other academies they had visited.
