HABE Celebration of Achievement Awards Evening

On Thursday 2nd July, Harris Academy Beckenham celebrated its Annual Awards Evening – and what a night it was! We were privileged to welcome Lord Harris, Sir Dan Moynihan, Federation Directors, governors and our guest speaker, David McQueen to reward and praise the remarkable achievements of our students. There was not a spare seat in the house as parents, carers, staff and award winners  filled our hall; which meant that every round of applause was appropriately thunderous!

From individual achievement, to specific subjects awards, our students were honoured with certificates and vouchers. The most coveted awards, those for Resilience, Reflectiveness, Resourcefulness and Reciprocity were kept a secret so students were delighted when their names were finally announced! We had to introduce a new reward for the remarkable reading accomplishments of Cian Dunlevy (Year 7) – a true ambassador for WORD! The most prestigious award of the evening, The Lord Harris Ambassador Award was given to Priscilla Gambras, our splendidly talented Deputy Head Girl who is an absolute inspiration to our students.

Thank you to all our parents and carers for attending the evening and making it so very special for our award winning superstar students.
