A Level Success at Harris Beckenham- a Trio of A*

13 August 2026

Students at Harris Academy Beckenham are once again celebrating excellent A Level results today.

With the popularity of the Sixth Form continuing to grow, the largest ever cohort of students completed a wide range of A Level and vocational qualifications this summer.

There are so many success stories, but the highlights for A Levels are Lily, who achieved A*A*A* in Maths, Further Maths and Chemistry and will go onto study Maths at Bath University.

Nirudhi also achieved A*A*A* in Biology, Chemistry and Maths.  Nirudhi will study Medicine at Exeter University.

Both students are picture below celebrating their results with Mrs Richardson and Ms Cownley.

Dorothy also secured outstanding results with A*A*A* in Maths, Further Maths and Physics. Dorothy is still waiting to hear about a very exciting apprenticeship opportunity.

Other success stories include Oscar who secured AAC in Maths, Chemistry and Biology and will now head off to University in Leeds.

Samuel celebrated his A*A*A in Maths, Physics and Politics and looks forward to studying at Bristol University.

Both students are picture below celebrating their results with Mrs Richardson (Interim Head of Academy) and Ms Cownley (Head of Sixth Form).

Many of our students benefit from our variety of subjects on offer, and complete combinations of A Levels and vocational qualifications.

The ability to study such a range of mixed pathways is a real unique selling point for our Sixth Form.

Chanel  and Monica both secured D*D* in their Business course, Chanel is heading to Kingston University to study Psychology.

Jon celebrated D*D*D in IT and Business and intends to study Information Systems at Greenwich.

These achievements would not have been possible without the dedication and expertise of the Academy's teaching and support staff. Their passion, encouragement and unwavering belief in every student's potential have played a crucial role in helping students overcome challenges and realise their ambitions. From delivering engaging lessons and providing additional support sessions to offering guidance and encouragement throughout the year, staff have gone above and beyond to ensure students could succeed.

Mrs Richardson shared her reflections “As students now take their next steps into university, apprenticeships, further training and employment, the Academy is immensely proud of all they have accomplished. Their achievements reflect not only academic success but also the resilience, determination and character they have developed during their time at the Academy.”

Ms Cownley added “Congratulations to every student on these fantastic results. The entire Academy community celebrates your success and wishes you every happiness and achievement in the exciting journeys that lie ahead. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your journey.”
