It is with great pride and much pleasure I welcome you to HABE. We are a happy, energetic and all-inclusive ‘Outstanding’ (May 2023 and June 2017) 11-18 Academy which is widely recognised as one of the most successful and highest performing schools in Bromley.

We are proud of the superb opportunities we offer all our students to develop in a community which fosters Resilience, Reflectiveness, Resourcefulness, Reciprocity and a commitment to the highest educational standards. Our state of the art facilities reflect our approach to learning and our ambition to be and provide the very best to transform the life chances of all our young men and women. Our co-educational Sixth Form offers excellent progression to study in a vibrant and growing Sixth Form community paving the way for university and professional future success.

In 2019 we were designated as a ‘World Class’ school because of the amazing work we do to develop students’ skills, character and competencies which rival and compete with those students from the very best schools internationally. This is a huge tribute and accolade for our incredible students who are very deserving of this award. We were since re-accredited in 2022, confirmation that our Academy is, and continues to be, World Class.

As an Academy we uphold the traditional values of good manners, strong discipline and smart uniform. Teachers are the experts in the classroom; they are aspirational for their students and provide the highest quality teaching to ensure students make significant progress above national benchmarks.

We place great importance on our supportive and caring ethos; we firmly believe that students thrive and achieve academic and personal success when they feel happy and secure. Whilst we expect all students to strive for academic excellence, we also highly value students’ personal development and their contribution to our Academy, local and international community.
