The Harris Federation Art Exhibition

On a very warm July summers evening, Harris Federation held its inaugural Summer Art Exhibition at our flagship Academy - Harris Westminster. The exhibition was organised by Harris art teachers with the view of raising the profile of Art as a subject and to celebrate artwork with the reward of an annual prize. 

Each Harris was encouraged to submit a piece of artwork by two students from different key-stages.   We entered Georgia (KS5) and London (KS4). Both attended the private viewing, bringing with them extremely proud members of their family.

We all enjoyed seeing their artworks in an ‘real’ exhibition setting, with their work professionally framed and displayed. Both had to title their artwork - something they both confessed to have been terrifying!  Although our students didn’t win in their categories, their work will next be exhibited at the annual Harris Conference in the Autumn.
