Bromley Cross Country Championships 2015
On 18th November 2015 six year 7 and 8 students braved the tail winds of storm Barney to represent the Academy at the 2015 Bromley Cross Country Championships. The condition were awful, not only was the wind howling but the wooden section of the course was awash with mud, so for the six brave souls to finish even the shortest course at 2560m was a victory in itself. However out of the ten plus schools in attendance and the forty plus student in each race we achieved the following results:
Year 7 Girls
Nyah Torey 8th and Freya Graham 17th
Year 7 Boys
Thomas Pennlington 2nd and Oliver Hind 26th Year 8 Boys Danny Wood Brett 17th and Dominykas 38th
The top 16 in each race will be invited to compete for Bromley at the Kent Championships, so a huge congratulations to Nyah Torey and Thomas Pennlington who will be eagerly awaiting their invites. Also commiserations to Freya Graham and Danny Wood Brett who narrowly missed selection, however I'm sure they will be back more determined next year. Well done again to you all.
