Academy Awards Evening 2016 - A Celebration of Student Success
On 22nd June, HABE proudly hosted our Academy Awards Evening. It was an evening to celebrate our outstanding students, recognising their individual talents and academic achievements.
We warmly welcomed our Governors and other prestigious guests including our guest speaker, Lena Benjamin, a local Business Entrepreneur and Senior Consultant with LB Consultancy Services. The evening progressed with presenting of our awards and a host of performances including a snippet from our eagerly awaited production of ‘Grease’. Students were awarded from each year group for their academic achievements and progress during this year, as well as individual subject awards for those who had demonstrated outstanding commitment and a reflected the Academy’s ethos during their studies. Special awards were presented to a selection of students who have proved themselves truly outstanding with the Lord Harris Ambassador Award proudly being presented to Izzabelle McGuiness for her incredible achievements fundraising for charity. She truly encompasses all the qualities that we embrace at Harris Academy Beckenham.
Following a vote of thanks to all those involved, students, parents teachers and other guests retired for refreshments to reflect upon the evening and enjoy the successes.
