We would like to thank you and all of the staff at Harris Beckenham for all their hard work and support. Aside from a few technical issues in the beginning, it has been pretty faultless for our son's home-schooling and he is very much looking forward to coming back to school. https://t.co/v1CXaalWqY

A massive thank you to and our Y11 cohort for such a thought provoking Q&A session last Thursday. It was so enlightening to hear our Pigeon English author’s insight into the writing of his text, and for our students to pose their own questions, we learnt so much! https://t.co/rflboCxTvX

It is with great pride and much pleasure I WELCOME you to HABE. We are a happy, energetic and all-inclusive ‘OUTSTANDING’ 11-18 Academy which is widely recognised as one of the most successful and highest performing schools in Bromley. We are proud of the superb opportunities we offer all our students to develop in a community which fosters Resilience, Reflectiveness, Resourcefulness, Reciprocity and a commitment to the highest educational standards. Our state of the art facilities reflect our approach to learning and our ambition to be and provide the very best to transform the life chances of all our young men and women. Our co-educational Sixth Form offers excellent progression to study in a vibrant and growing Sixth Form community paving the way for university and professional future success.

In 2019 we were designated as a World Class’ school because of the amazing work we do to develop students’ skills, character and competencies which rival and compete with those students from the very best schools internationally. This is a huge tribute and accolade for our incredible students who are very deserving of this award.

As a school we uphold the traditional values of good manners, strong discipline and smart uniform. Teachers are the experts in the classroom; they are aspirational for their students and provide the highest quality teaching to ensure student make significant progress above national benchmarks. We place great importance on our supportive and caring ethos; we firmly believe that students thrive and achieve academic and personal success when they feel happy and secure. Whilst we expect all students to strive for academic excellence, we also highly value students’ personal development and their contribution to our Academy, local and international community. Our strong academic curriculum, supported by an extensive extracurricular programme, enriches and extends the learning experience of every student, allowing each one to explore and develop their personal talents and interests. The wide ranging opportunities for leadership enable students to develop the skills, knowledge and qualities they will need to be our leaders of the future.

As a community, we are immensely proud of HABE. Our students are strong, confident and passionate: they are ambitious and aspirational for themselves and their futures, and yet deeply conscious of their role in creating a caring and just society. We are a vibrant community of students, staff, parents and governors which is truly 'committed to excellence.’

I very much look forward to welcoming you to HABE soon, so you can see for yourself just what makes us so impressive.
