Home Test Kits - Information for Students/Parents
Thank you for your support in preparing students for the onsite testing which has been running very smoothly. Students have been exemplary throughout.
As you are aware, from Monday 15th March, students will need to conduct their own home tests as set out by the PM.
If your child is under 12 years old, these tests must be administered by a parent/carer.
When students complete their third and final onsite LFT, we will give them 2 home test packs. In each of the pack are 3 tests totalling 6 tests giving 3 weeks supply in total. Each pack has a registered code which is recorded against each student’s name as we have been asked to track this process.

Please read the instruction booklet given with the test kits before conducting any tests. Please click HERE to view the updated instruction booklet.

In line with Government guidance, we are asking all consenting students to test twice per week on the following days:
Tuesday and Friday morning before Academy.
ALL results must be registerd on the NHS tracing website:
https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result
Please contact the Academy if you receive a positive or void test by emailing:
If you receive a positive result then you should book a confirmatory PCR test by visiting a local drive through site or ordering a home test kit. It is important that you self-isolate until you have received the result of your PCR test. If your PCR test is negative please continue following national and local rule and guidelines including regular handwashing, social distancing and wearing face coverings.
We are unclear if home testing will continue after the Easter break, but the Government has assured us that the situation will be reviewed in time for our return on 19th April.
Thank you for your continued support.
