Dear HABE I had the privilege to referee your u18 boy's team v Tunbridge Wells Grammar. Although the HABE team were beaten the way they conducted themselves deserves praise & recognition. You should be proud of the young men who represented their school today. # Referee

Parent feedback on our Carol Concert I was hugely impressed with the quality of the performances at the HABE concert last night. The concert band were excellent by any measure - first class. The Yr7 choir, chamber choir and soloists were also incredible as was the Year 7 choir.

POWERFUL POETS PUBLISHED!

Peotopia

‘Poetopia’ was a fantastic opportunity for our students to get their poetry published! The competition required our creative thinkers to write a poem based on one of the following themes: reflection, celebrating what you enjoy, expressing anger, diligence, love and emotion. Combining resourcefulness and resilience, our students exposed their inner emotions in order to produce some truly thought-provoking poetry. We can all agree that it takes bravery and maturity to enter a competition like this. Happily, the risk was worth it as eight of our students were fortunate enough to have been chosen for the final publication! Their powerful words are now in print and we will soon have copies of the anthology available in our library.

This is a really remarkable and impressive achievement by students of a range of ages and abilities; this proves that poetry is not the preserve of the elite but rather a reserve that can be enjoyed and experienced by all.
