HABE Students Celebrate A level Success

Euphoria at Harris Academy Beckenham after students achieve exceptional A Level results.

There’s a wave of celebration sweeping through Harris Academy Beckenham as students and staff come together to mark an exceptional year of A Level and vocational achievements!

In total 30% of all A Level entries achieved A*A grades followed by 52% of entries achieving A*B grades. The Academy saw a 99% pass rate across all subjects, with 26 subjects out 28 achieved 100% pass rate.

Particularly strong results were achieved in History, Politics, Maths, Art, English, French, Physics, Sociology, Business, Media, and Vocation IT, Sport, and Business.

In Vocational subjects 60% of all grades were equivalent to A*A and in Technical Vocational subjects 78% of all grades were A*A grades. All vocational qualifications achieved 100% pass rate. In IT 75% of the grades were A*A equivalent and in the Business Diploma 42% of the grades were A*A equivalent.

Subjects with exceptional performance include:

  • Politics achieved 34% A*A and 80% A*B
  • French achieved 50% A*A and 100% A*B
  • Art achieved 50% A*A and 100% A*B
  • Physics achieved 25% A*A and 67% A*B
  • History achieved 73% A*B and 17% A*A
  • English achieved 72% A*B and 10% A*A
  • Maths achieved 53% A*B and 28% A*A

Amongst those celebrating are our top performing students:

  • Michael, who achieved A*, A*, A* in Computing, Maths and Physics and will now read Physics with Theoretical Physics at Kings College London
  • Rose, who achieved A, A, B in History, Politics and English and will now read History at the University of Exeter
  • Deandre who achieved A, A, B in Maths, Computing and Biology and will now read Computer Science at the University of Nottingham
  • Eryk who achieved an A*, A, B in Politics, History and English and will now read Politics and International Relations at the University of Durham.
  • Abdi, who achieved A, A, B grades in Maths, Physics and Computing and will now read Electronic Engineering at Kings College London
  • Isabella, who achieved two Distinction* and one Distinction grade in Business and IT and will now read Law at the City St George’s University
  • Finley, who achieved a Distinction and two Distinction* grades in Business and Sport Science and is now entering the world of work.
