Dulwich College Rugby Experience

It was a huge honour for our U12’s Rugby team to be invited to Dulwich College to play against their C team. Unfortunately, our Beckenham boys didn’t start well, letting in an easy try in the first 10 minutes. However, the team settled into the game quickly after that, showing strong resilience to score a fantastic team try in the corner, floating the ball through the hands finishing with Joe Barnes-Austin. Leo Ellis had an outstanding performance throughout the game using his strength and power to carry the ball forward managing to score one try in the first half. The boys’ confidence continued to flourish as they scored another two tries in quick succession. Alex Le-Conte and James Larkman made many tremendous tackles throughout the match and delivered outstanding performances. Harvey Palmer-Garrick also looked impressive showing his experience with his decision making and strong leadership skills. Overall it was a great performance from the boys with Harris Beckenham winning 35-10.

Due to our impressive performance, Dulwich college invited us back the following week to play their B team. Although we lost this game it was a closely fought match and the boys put in another very exciting display. There were some great standout performances from Thomas Penlington, Harry Brem-Wilson, Kesharne Bowes and Ronnie Davies. We continue to build our relationship with Dulwich College and look forward to many more fixtures next season.
