Our Y7 Resilient Rugby Team!

After the U13’s beat Langley Park in the Rugby floodlit tournament two weeks ago, the U12’s were excited about attempting this themselves. The U12’s Rugby team have come on leaps and bound this term showing great resilience against some tough competition. They arrived at the four way tournament at Langley Park hopeful of some great results against Darrick Wood, Kingsdale School and the hosts Langley.

The boys got off to a great start against Langley with some strong runs from Oliver Hind, Alex Le-Conte and Harvey Palmer-Garrick. The final score 5-5. The boys then came up against a very good side from Kingsdale School and although they did not have the skill level or structure we possessed they had size and strength on their side. The final score 32-0 to Kingsdale. Last but not least were Darrick Wood. Our U13’s and 14’s had already beaten Darrick Wood this term so the pressure was on for our U12’s to win this one. Some outstanding performances from Leo Ellis, Archie Taylor and Marshall Hare, the final score 22-7 to us!

Due to drawing to Langley Park in the first match the tournament result came down to points scored. And the runners up… Harris Academy Beckenham! Another fantastic term of Rugby at HABE with all three ages groups into the semi-final of the Harris Federation Cup.
