Mental Health & Anxiety

ITL

In the loop with… Mental Health & Anxiety

In our second edition, please find a link provided by NHS-Every Mind Matters to keep you ‘in the loop’ with managing and supporting a young person’s Mental Health and Anxiety.

The following link can provide you with some expert information to help you support your children, and just as importantly, yourselves: https://www.nhs.uk/every-mind-matters/supporting-others/childrens-mental-health/

Mental health and anxiety was the most asked for topic area from the survey conducted in our first edition, and also the one most relevant at this time as many students may begin to worry about the return to a new Academy year. I hope you find this useful.

All across society we have seen an increase in Mental Health issues, and much of this is unfortunately focused around the young people that we care for and support as part of our community here at HABE.

The next link is one that you can signpost or talk through with your children about how all aspects of ‘self-care’ can help our young people, and where they themselves can find extra support should they need it:

https://www.nhs.uk/every-mind-matters/mental-wellbeing-tips/youth-mental-health/

If you could also find time to complete the short survey link  below we would be extremely grateful: https://forms.office.com/e/cPCDvtJbWs

Kind regards,

Mr D. Wilkinson, Assistant Principal
